The thing with most string instruments is that you learn to play them while sitting down but eventually, everyone aims to be capable enough to play it while standing up. Why? Because it's cool, that is why.
Banjo players are no different. They too want to rock out to some country music while headbanging, or they just want to play some Slayer on their banjos. The point being, eventually, you are going to require a best banjo strap.
It is important to care about other things as well. Looking cool is great, but you also want a quality and comfortable strap because trust me, nothing is more annoying than a bad strap that has its stitching coming off or is made of bad material.
So, in order to make things easy for you, in this list, I am going to mention the best banjo strap that I could find on Amazon. Here is the best banjo strap list and without further delay, let us begin:
10 BEST BANJO STRAP REVIEW
1. NEOTECH SUPER - BEST SLIMLINE BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
I did say that this list was in no particular order but even if it was, the Neotech Super Banjo Strap would still be, at the very least, in the top 3 of this "best banjo strap" list. This banjo strap is made with neoprene pads that are quite comfortable to wear and easily dampen any vibrations traveling up.
This best banjo strap comes with their awesome internal control-stretch system, which makes this strap feel in a league above when it comes to comfort. The design on this strap is such that it very effectively distributes your banjo's weight so it does not feel heavy at all.
The Neotech Super banjo strap uses its side release buckles to join the secure and sturdy "Neo loops" to the main body of your banjo. I tested jumping around and headbanging whilst playing and the strap stayed on perfectly, never coming loose or making it seem like it is not securely in place.
So, as I said before, I really think this strap is another best banjo strap out there. What makes it the best for me is that it is a value for money product and I would recommend this to anyone, a beginner or professional banjo player, without hesitation.

2. Levy's Leather's M13HT - BEST JACQUARD WEAVE BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
Ahh, yes! For all you Banjo players wanting something a bit different from the common black or brown straps, here is something fashionable amongst you.
This Levy's Leather is quite aesthetically pleasing to look at thanks to the artistic patterns that you will find on its body and these magnificent patterns are made via a method called "hootenanny jacquard weave", the same name you read in the title.
What I loved about this strap is that the company doesn't cheap out on other things. Meaning many of these "aesthetically pleasing" straps look good but do not feel good; this is not the case here.
The M13HT is 2" wide and its length is adjustable up to 60". It boasts a polypropylene backing, leather ends and a tri-glide adjustment so it is not all show, you can actually use this strap for a gig. This strap held up both a banjo and a guitar and the fit was secure and safe.
However, I would like to point out that it is not the best banjo strap in terms of comfort. It is comfortable but it definitely could have been better. It is lightweight and looks really nice but would stop me from giving this strap the 5-star rating because it cannot be used for performance that span over a long time.
So, yeah, keep that in mind before buying this. I wouldn't recommend this to those that perform often, but it is a great buy for hobby and casual players.

3. PERRI'S P25EBJBR-106 - BEST LEATHER BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
Perri's Leathers Ltd. is a family-owned company based and runs their business from Concord, Ontario Canada. In full disclosure, I have a bias for family-owned businesses, I don't know I just imagine that working wholeheartedly and without greed.
Putting my weird perceptions aside, I went into reviewing this Perri's Leather's Brown Embossed leather banjo strap quite objectively, but I had high expectations from the get-go… I was not disappointed. First off, this strap looks and feels excellent.
This Perri's Leathers' 2.5" garment leather banjo strap is made with high-quality materials. The garment leather is backed onto super soft suede and then is embossed with classic designs, the one I got was the gold/golden eagle, with metallic foils. And no, it will not fade away. I must say, in terms of sheer looks, easily the best banjo strap. Of course, though, looks are subjective.
This banjo strap is a 2.5 inches wide and can be adjusted from 44.5 to 53 inches in terms of length. You can attach this strap to the main body using the plastic swivel hooks located on each end. So far, it sounds perfect, right? Things seldom are though, unfortunately. The plastic hooks I just mentioned aren't the best quality ones out there.
I really like this strap, it feels comfortable and looks really cool (again, pretty subjective), but my only complaint was that the plastic hooks feel cheap. They did not break, but they certainly don't feel very durable. Again, I think it is usable for hobbyists but for any serious performance, I wouldn't risk it.

4. D'ANDREA 1312 - BEST WOVEN BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
The D'Andrea 1312 Banjo Strap seems to me to be one of those straightforward, functional tools. You know, those with no gimmicks. Except for the color scheme, this strap is one of those. Featuring a retro look, appear like the older folks or the old-school ones.
The D'Andre 1312 boasts features like plastic swivel hooks and a woven tapestry. It weighs almost nothing and very easy to use and adjust.
Now, the problem with this strap is that it "weighing almost nothing part." No weight makes it not very durable. It isn't very expensive; it is fairly cheap, so that part sort of makes up for its overall less life, but yeah, I would not get this. It breaks off easily. It's design and color are certainly appealing, and it is cheap, but I think there are way better options out there for just a dollar or two.

5. PERFORMANCE PLUS GS7-BL - BEST BUDGET BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
This Performance Plus adjustable banjo strap is one that I knew was a strap for beginners right from the get-go simply because of its cost. For the most part, it costs half as much as other straps on here. The good thing about that is that they do not try to hide the fact that this is a banjo strap for beginners, and at this price, you are not going to expect much more than this, just the essentials and basics: it has got that covered.
The Performance Plus GS7-BL banjo strap has got a Pewter and Canyon Sand Hootenanny Jacquard weave on top of its polypropylene backing. It is 2 inches in width with genuine reinforced leather at the ends. The strap is quite comfortable and looks good and simple with its pattern art, and is adjustable from 37 to 60 inches in terms of length. At this price point, there is very little to complain about, but I will.
The two no-mar nylon swivel locking clips are not the best quality ones out there. It is awesome that the hooks have a 360º swivel to allow free movement, but I wish they were made to be a bit better in terms of durability and feels.
With all that said, at this price, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this. If you are starting out, you can go for this strap.

6. NEOTECH SLIMLINE BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
Just like the last strap I tested by Neotech, this one too impressed me quite a lot and I would put this, too, in the "top 3 best banjo strap out there" category. The Neotech Slimline banjo strap follows the tradition of being low-key and having a simple and elegant design.
There are 3 colors to choose from and all are made of leather, textile-grille cloth and webbings. However, here, the focus is practicality and performance and oh boy, does this strap deliver!
Let us first talk about comfort. This strap is the first one on this list to boast high-tech memory foam, which is extremely comfortable. If you know memory foam, it is perfect for longer durations as it adjusts itself according to whichever surface it is resting on. On top of that, this material dissipates any moisture so everything stays cool.
You can easily attach this to the banjo connectors with neo-loops located on end, which join with the main strap with strong side-release buckles.
This best banjo strap is a fully adjustable and it can go from 51 inches to -60 inches (129, 54cm-152, 4cm). It is certainly a tad bit on the expensive side of things but if you can look past that, it is easily one of the best banjo straps out there.

7. PERRI'S P25SHBJ-6696 - BEST SUEDE LEATHER BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
Perri's Leathers make a return on this list and it seems with this banjo strap, they have covered their one major complaint. Before talking about that, let us talk about the other features of this strap.
Made with suede and sheepskin fur pad, you just know this feels really nice to touch and definitely comfortable to wear. It is also very durable to it is able to check all boxes there. It comes in 2 colors, Natural and Black. I would go for the black but again, entirely your choice. Both look really good.
My main complaint with the previous Perri's leather banjo strap I tested was its poor quality plastic hooks. Here, the clips are made of metal and are of high quality. This strap is fully adjustable, it is 2.5 wide and you can adjust its length from 44.5" to 53 inches. Except for the price, this strap seems perfect to me.

8. NEOTECH (8301062) - BEST BANJO STRAP FOR JAZZ
PRODUCT DETAILS
Neotech Mega Banjo Strap has set its goal to be comfortable and make its main feature and has succeeded without a doubt. This is one of if not the best banjo strap out there and all thanks to how comfortable it is.
First of all, this strap is made of soft, durable neoprene, elastic for added support. On top of that, there are two layers of memory foam, which adds even more cushioning.
No matter how heavy the banjo, you will not feel much of a burden on your shoulder and the memory foam wicks away any moisture and keeps everything cool. Neotech also used their patented control-stretch system, which allegedly makes the "instruments feel 50% lighter and 100% more comfortable". I don't know about the numbers but it certainly does feels really comfortable so I am on board.
There are many sizes available so you can find your perfect fit. The straps is fully adjustable in length 52" - 61 inches (132,1cm - 154,9cm). The strap is sealed using Lycra binding with nylon loops. Everything on this strap feels premium. Just check its measurements before buying and it is perfect!

9. D'ADDARIO WOVEN BANJO STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
Here we have another best banjo strap for beginners. The D'Addario Woven Banjo Strap is yet another one of those straps that are best for beginners. It certainly isn't a long term strap but as D'Addario says, it can be a nice gift. With that said, this strap is entirely usable for casual players.
It has a classic hootenanny woven design in a brown and yellow color. It is okay in terms of comfort. It has got 2 plastic clips to attach it with the banjo. They are not the best quality, but at this price, that is expected. With that said, this is the best "woven" strap I have tested so far. It is adjustable and will work fine for hobbyists.

10. 1TO1MUSIC CF-OGMO-4KMC - BEST LEATHER BANJO CRADLE STRAP
PRODUCT DETAILS
This is hands down the best banjo strap in terms of pure looks. This strap, by 1to1music, is made with genuine leather and has been hand-stitched. It looks absolutely gorgeous and offers supreme quality. The "Celtic" part here is the traditional running dog print embossed onto the leather. Again, it looks like something that straight up belongs in a museum.
However, this strap is much more than just looks. It is 3 inches wide so it is fairly comfortable when resting on your shoulder, especially because it is padded on the inside, which adds comfort. The leather itself is high quality so no worries there while it touches your skin.
This banjo strap is fully adjustable and you can adjust its length from 64" - 79 inches with ease. It uses a "Cradle Banjo Strap Mechanism" which means that it loops around the banjo and locks onto itself. Consider this to be an investment. I love this strap!
